This movie adaptation of Pride and Prejudice was directed by Joe Wright and filmed in 2005 (source: wikipedia). Elizabeth Bennet is played by Keira Knightly and Matthew MacFadyen plays Mr. Darcy.
In my opinion, this film is a very accurate adaptation of the book Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. While reading the book, I was able to immerse in the movie scenes and expand them. Each of the timeline events went by slowly and described with greater detail. The book also mentions characters that the movie did not include, such as, Charlotte's family and house. Lizzie and Charlotte are neighbors and best friends but the movie only shows Charlottes house after marrying Mr. Collins.

This is an older film version which I have not watched fully yet, a six episode tv show. It was filmed in 1995 and produced by Sue Birtwistle, a great success of British television. Elizabeth Bennet is played by Jennifer Ehle and Mr. Darcy played by Collin Firth.

This adaptation of Pride and Prejudice is very old! It was filmed in 1940, directed by Robert Z. Leonard. Mr. Darcy is played by Lawrence Oliver and Elizabeth Bennet by Greer Garson. I cannot say I have watched this movie, but it is definitely on my list!
Here is an interesting but not very faithful adaption of the pride and prejudice narrative. I'm sure Jane Austen would have liked to see her courtship story invaded with zombies!
This movie was available on Tubi and amazon prime (not sure if it still is). It was directed by Burr Steers, 2016.
